Not a runner or early riser?

You can still support the scholarship effort by dining at Chipolte (Sanders Road by Mariano's) on Race Day.


Chipolte will donate 50% of all sales that day to our scholarship fund. Just mention you're with District 27 or show them this flier.


PTA Update

(January, 2017 update)

So far this year.....


District 27/PTA Council:

  • Held 5th annual Districtwide 5K, successfully chaired by Karen Frum - raised over $9,000 for scholarships to graduating GBN seniors from Wood Oaks
  • Produced the "can't live without" annual school district directory, chaired by Juliana White
  • Held the Club 27 adult social event at Pinstripes on May 5th


Hickory Point — Lisa Woodruff and Dani Mokhtarian, co-presidents:

  • Fabulous committee efforts - philanthropy, room parents, parties, book fair
  • 3rd Thursday dining out fundraisers


Shabonee — Jill Carter and Anna Harris, co-presidents: 

  • Shab Family Night had all new fun, including duct tape art
  • Special and extremely well received teacher appreciation event featuring Starbucks


Wood Oaks - Lorna Cohen and Kristin Ihrke, co-presidents:

Profitable spirit wear and book fair sales


 How can I help?


  • Volunteer to assist with next year's directory, in the libraries, during monthly morning staff meetings
  • Attend school events, collect Box Tops for Education


Just contact any of our school presidents/exec committees or council board members to get connected! Be involved in our amazing schools, it is FUN and our kids are worth it!!!

Club 27 will be held on February 23, 2018!

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, donated and worked on Club 27. Without your participation, none of this would be possible! Looking forward to next year!

  • Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at the District-wide Parents Night Out on Friday night, May 5th, at Pinstripes!
  • Enjoy dinner and awesome entertainment
  • Mingle with fellow parents and have the opportunity to bid on great auction items for sports tickets (including the Cubs!), restaurants, salons, hotel stays, fashion, health and fitness, Walt Disney World, personal chef in your home, and incredible unique school opportunities
  • Support the fundraiser for new SMART Boards that are becoming obsolete and need replacement.
