Superintendent Weekly Message: Reopening Plan

Parent Message - July 17, 2020

Dear District 27 Parents,

I hope you are well and safe!

We are sharing with you our Reopening Plan that has been in development for the past few months. Thank you to the Advisory Committee for all the work it did to help us sort through the complexities of the plan. We have provided you with a link to our Reopening Video. If you would, please take the time to view the video.

After reading the plan, watching the video, and reviewing the safety protocols, please confirm that your student will or will not return to in-person instruction by completing the Student Attendance Confirmation Form. We need parents to complete this form for every child by Wednesday, July 22nd. This data is necessary to finalize plans for those who will attend school in person and those who may prefer a full remote learning option. Please take the time to confirm your child(ren)’s attendance status.

We have created a new section on our website entitled 2020-2021 School Year. We have a number of items in this section and will continue to populate it with new and evolving information. Please take the time to review the many resources that are made available on this page.

We will continue to provide you with updates, procedures, and policies as the summer moves along. We are also committed to keeping close communication with you throughout the school year.

Thank you, again, for your support during this unprecedented time. Have a good weekend.
