Dear District 27 Parents,
Good afternoon. District 27 is currently monitoring the forecast for Tuesday, February 16, as Cook County is under a Winter Storm Warning.
Should we need to close the school buildings, all classes will be held remotely. We will make an announcement as soon as possible but no later than 6 a.m. You will be notified via email, text, and phone calls. The announcement will also be posted on our District and school websites and social media pages.
We expect to continue to monitor the weather forecast into the late evening and early morning, but wanted to remind you of our protocols should you need to make alternative plans. Parents and students should assume that in-person learning is in session unless otherwise notified.
We fully realize our students may not have all their materials at home since we are coming off of an extended weekend. We ask for your patience and understanding as our teachers will need to adjust their lesson plans accordingly. Should we have a remote learning day, please have your student check their class Canvas page in the morning for the class schedule.
Our top priority is always the safety of our students and staff. More information about our District closure protocols is available on our website.
Thank you for your continued partnership and flexibility.
