Northbrook School District 27

Parent Message: December 16, 2020

Dear District 27 Parents,

Thank you for your continued patience and support throughout this Adaptive Pause. It is great to see our students so engaged and we know that does not come without much dedication at home.

Return from Adaptive Pause
As we stated last month, our every intention is to resume our hybrid synchronous instruction on January 19. We will continue to monitor the following factors over the next few weeks and remain in close communication with our District families:

  • Metrics: We will continue to monitor state metrics as well as our Northfield Township COVID-19 Health Dashboard.

  • Guidance: We will continue to seek guidance from the Illinois and Cook County Departments of Public of Health.

  • Substitutes: We will continue to monitor our staffing levels related to quarantine and substitute availability.

No School: Friday, December 18
This is just a reminder that there will not be school on Friday, December 18. This will be a planning day for staff. School will resume on Monday, January 4 following winter break.

Remote Material Pick-Up:
Remote Material Pick-Up opportunities have been scheduled for Tuesday, December 29 and Monday, January 4. Specific information regarding your child’s assigned schedule can be found here

The holiday season does feel quite different this year, but it is important to remember that this is temporary. We need to continue to stay the course, as a united community, in our fight against the pandemic. I hope you all have a safe holiday and a restful winter break.
