Vision and Hearing Screenings
Vision and hearing screenings are provided annually to District 27 students at the State-mandated grade levels, as designated by the Illinois Department of Public Health.
Vision and hearing screenings will be conducted by the nurses in District 27 who are certified by the state of Illinois. Vision screening is not a substitute for a complete eye and vision evaluation by an eye doctor. Any student suspected by a parent, guardian, or teacher of having a vision or hearing problem may also be referred for screening. If you do not want your student to receive a vision and/or hearing screening, please contact me directly.
