Community Resources
  • Northbrook Public Library: The library is providing curbside pick up for residents. Information for accessing this information can be found on their website. 
    • Library Cards: As a reminder, the Northbrook Public Library has made it easy to get library cards for adults and children to access the many valuable resources they offer. Use this link to fill out the form. 
  • Northbrook Park District The Northbrook Park District is pleased to present additional virtual programs for the Northbrook community! New offerings include fitness classes, performing arts programs, and senior offerings along with many previously listed classes and interactive events for children and families.
Students Who Completed Grades K-2 during the 2019-20 School Year & Some Options for Entering Kindergarten Students
  • Grade Level Slide Decks March through May available in your child’s Google Drive. Your child must log into his/her Google account. 
  • Options based STEAM Slide Deck  - Available for all students
  • Raz Kids - accounts open for students who just completed Kindergarten and Grade 1
  • Epic for Grade 2 - Two hours of access per week is being provided for free by the company. Your child will need to use his/her login information.
  • Reflex Math for Grades 1 & 2 is open through July. Your child will be able to log into his/her account even though the school year has ended. As a parent, you can login using your child’s information to check on his/her progress. This will help to support your child’s transition to the next grade. If your child has difficulty using the program, please feel free to use flashcards or other online resources. Here is the target for HP students:
    • 100% fluency of addition/subtraction facts 0-10: Achieved by the start of third grade
  • Brain Pop Jr is a subscription resource that is available to our students that includes animated educational content in the areas of: Science, Social Studies, English, Math, Arts & Music, Health, and Technology. Although some content is free, to access the full version your child will need to login to the site. Login username and password to BrainPop Jr are in your child’s Google Drive in the file titled “BrainPop Jr Login.”
  • Hickory Point Summer Reading Bingo for all students entering Grades K-2 - You should have received an email communication with directions about the program.
Students Who Completed Grades 3-5 during the 2019-20 School Year
  • The E-Learning Plans and all materials linked within the plans are for the exclusive use of District 27 3-5 grade students. The plan contains content and links to licensed subscription resources. The use of any of these materials by anyone other than District 27 3-5 grade students is strictly prohibited. 
    • The menu-choice slide deck is open for Shabonee students to use this summer. Please note that some of the subscriptions may expire during the summer.    
    • Access to curriculum content from the spring. The slide decks used this spring during remote learning will be available to our students in their Google Drive accounts should children want to review any content that has been shared by the teachers this past spring.

  • Shabonee Book Match Club is a recreational reading program for 4th and 5th grade students involving friendly competition. To be a part of the team, student members are asked to read 10 or more books from a list of 50 titles before the month of April. If a student is interested, he/she can get a jump start on reading. Grade 4-5 Book Match List
