Homework is part of the District’s instructional program and has the overarching goal of increasing student achievement. Homework is defined as academically related work assignments given to students by classroom teachers requiring time for completion by the students outside of the regular classroom instructional setting. The type, frequency, and quantity of homework shall be determined by the professional judgment of the teaching staff.
The Superintendent shall ensure that each school establishes homework guidelines that are specific to the developmental needs of students attending that grade level center. The guidelines shall be published annually in the Student Handbook at each building.
